Turning Teleseminars Into Products

Today is Part 2 of a two-part series on repurposing for product creation. Last week we discussed how to turn a chat (client conversation) into a marketing piece you can use again and again. Cool, huh? After all, who doesn’t want to work once and keep benefitting from those efforts?

Today, we’re going to discuss how to turn a teleseminar into a product you can sell or use as a f’r’e’e’ giveaway for networking events and newsletter sign-ups.

  1. Select a topic and date and host your teleseminar – be sure to record it (if you’re not sure how, see “Sandy Recommends”).
  2. Have your teleseminar transcribed. I recommend Wendy Roebuck as a great source for transcriptions.
  3. Format the transcription into so it’s easy to understand/read online (short paragraphs) and ensure your contact information is in the footer on EVERY page (or even better yet, provide the format you want to your transcriptionist and ask her to use it for all your transcriptions). :-)
  4. You can now offer the transcription and audio (mp3 file to keep it digital or via CD if you wish to capture contact mailing addresses) as either a f’r’e’e’ giveaway or a paid product on your website.

That’s it!

We’ve just repurposed a teleseminar into a product that you can either give away as a lead generator (think “build my list”) or that you can sell online for an additional passive revenue stream.
